Combine multiple store locations (Combined Locations)

You can combine two or more store locations into a single combined location. This allows you to display the stock quantity (threshold message) for multiple locations as a single unified location in the product page.

For example, if you have multiple stores in the same country, you can combine them and display a new inventory name instead of listing each store separately.

Before you begin

Combined locations cannot be used together with the Selected Location Rule.

If the Add combined location button is greyed out, it means the Selected Location Rule is active.

To enable combined locations:

1. Go to Location Rules.
   
2. Disable Shop from selected location.

Create a combined location

Step 1: From the Multi-Location Inventory app, go to Inventory Widget > Location Settings.

Step 2: Under Combined locations, click Add combined location.

Step 3: Enter a name for the combined location (for example: UK) and choose at least two locations to combine.

Step 4: Click Save to confirm your settings. Refresh your online store page as needed.

Once saved, the combined location will behave like a regular location in the inventory widget. Stock from all selected locations will be added together and displayed as a single location.

Example

If the first store has 5 units and the other one has 3 units, the combined location will calculate a total of 8 units.

However, what customers see depends on your inventory display settings:

• If stock quantities are enabled, the total combined quantity will be shown.

• If stock levels are hidden and only inventory threshold messages are enabled (e.g., High Stock, Low Stock, Sold Out), then only the threshold message will be displayed based on the combined total.

Adding notes to a combined location

ombined locations function the same way as standard locations for features like Location Notes. You can add a note to display additional information alongside the combined location on the storefront.

To add a note:

Step 1: Go to Inventory Widget > Location Settings.

Step 2: Under Location notes, choose the combined location from the dropdown and add your note in the corresponding field.

Step 3: Click Save. You might need to refresh the product page to see the updated note.
